The Arts Theatre Members Club originally opened in 1927 to avoid the censorship of the Lord Chamberlain. At one time described as ‘a pocket national theatre’, original members have included the West End’s greatest actors, artistes, poets, writers and politicians.

Wise, weird and wonderful – sketch and character comedy, freak shows and the most unimaginable programme in London. An intimate space high above the streets of the West End features the best of the Edinburgh and London underground, in a space that echoes with an extraordinary history.
